Spring Wildflowers

Today I went for a walk at Brunet Park in LaSalle, Ontario. This park has a spectacular display of spring wildflowers.  Here are a few photographs of the species I discovered flowering. All the photos were taken with my Sigma 105mm macro lens attached to my Canon 30D.

White Trillium

Jack-in-the-Pulpit

Trout Lily

Wild Geranium

Early Meadow Rue

Wild Oats

Blue Violet

Purple Cress

  2. Hey Tom,

I went to your highschool.. I was in your brother Mike's grade. I also think I've seen you a couple times at Ojibway (maybe with Russ Jones?)

Awesome blog.. and awesome photos of the flowers and the muskrats. Brunet is among my favorite places to visits.. I saw the Trilliums this past saturday as well--also saw an adult snapper.

A few years ago I saw a Red-bellied snake there in the grass (on the other side of the trees that are right beside the parking lot). It was too bad, it was my first sighting and I was stuck without a camera.
